How well are your entrepreneurial skills? Well, staff at a local Mecca bingo hall located in Scarborough are going to soon find out how well theirs are. The staff have signed up for a challenge to try and raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
A 50/50 Challenge will be running in clubs across the UK on November 10 and 11. Team members from clubs will have £50 to try and raise as much money as possible in just 50 hours. On Wednesday, 19th October, Mecca Bingo will celebrate its 50th Birthday and the challenge is part of Mecca’s 50th birthday celebrations.
All funds that are raised will help go towards Marie Curie Cancer Care so they are able to providing free home nursing care and support for terminally ill people and their families.
Some ideas that have been mentioned so far include: leg waxing, charity game in the Mecca club and jumble sales. Let’s hope that staff raise as much as possible and as much people as possible try and contribute towards suggested ideas.
Coming up with an innovative idea can be quite challenging and trying to thinking outside the box can be extremely frustrating and hard. Staff members should have fun coming up with ideas and Marie Curie Cancer Care will be very grateful of any funds that they receive due to the 2 day challenge.
