Tell us a little bit about yourself please.
I am ‘40 something’ and live in South Birmingham with my hubby and cat (who is my baby lol). I have 3 children and 2 grandchildren and love spending time with them all. I enjoy going out & socialising including eating out quite often as I don’t really like cooking! My favourite programs are Emmerdale, Shameless and Jeremy Kyle and I love classic romantic films like Ghost, Dirty Dancing, Titanic, etc.
What made you become a CM?
I had been playing online bingo for a while and always thought how much fun it would be to be a CM. I did however initially think that this was a voluntary thing, lol, so when I found out that you could actually earn a living being a CM I jumped at the chance and was over the moon when offered a position with Gala.
What is your favourite thing about being a Chat Moderator?
Building relationships with customers and getting to know them and of course having fun and a real laugh with them. My husband regularly thinks I have lost the plot when I am sat laughing at my computer screen! The added bonus is working from home so I don’t have to brave all weathers to get to and from work.
What is your least favourite thing about being a Chat Moderator?
I don’t really have a least favourite thing but I guess it would be if the site has any technical problems, which we all know happens occasionally with modern technology. Customers do get a little upset when their bingo is interrupted and it takes a few minutes to get the room back into a fun & positive mood again.
How do you find the whole online bingo experience?
Fantastic, as I said before I love playing online bingo myself so see it from the customer point of view. It is also great for people who are ill or housebound to have interaction with other people as well as the fun of playing bingo and other games. We do have a few regular customers who are in this position who love the chat as much as the games.
What is your favourite room to work in and why?
Gala TV is my favourite room to work in. We have live presenters & callers in the studio from 5pm until 1am so the customers have great fun with them and it is such a laugh with fun quizzes and different chat topics each evening.
Can you remember a LOL moment in a chat room?
Oh yes, there are many but a particular funny moment was when discussing men and snoring, I told my roomies about the time my hubby tried a nose clip and swallowed it in the night, nearly choking on it, lol, well the room was in hysterics and the roomies were giving suggestions and ideas, things like ‘a swift kick’ ‘a dig in the ribs’ ‘a pillow over his face!’ etc, we were all laughing about this for ages, lol.
Why do you think people should join the site that you work with?
Gala is a well established online bingo site that has the biggest jackpots in bingoland. They also run fantastic promotions that you would not find anywhere else from huge jackpot payouts to holidays and shopping trips.
