Q. Tell us a little bit about yourself please.
A. Hey Hey, I’m CM Kon, I’m 28, from Nottingham, your typical family man, other half two children and a cat! I’m quite out there with my dancing as the other chat moderators from Gala will tell you, I love life, and everyday like it’s the last. I like to think I’m the life and soul of the party, and I never know what else to say here, always feels like I’m filling in a dating wanted advert lol!!
Q. What made you become a CM?
A. I wanted to do something different, I love giving to customer and looking after them but I wanted to get out the office and do a job that offered me different challenges
Q. What is your favourite thing about being a Chat Moderator?
A. Talking to the roomies! It’s like meeting up with good friends every night and having a chat, Gala wouldn’t be what it is without our roomies, they are great and love every minute. I also love being on the Gala TV team, I went down to the studio and presented a few hours of bingo, it was fab, I think I have found my second calling within Gala
Q. What is your least favourite thing about being a Chat Moderator?
A. I know it sounds cliché, but honestly, there is nothing I dislike about this job, its win win all the day
Q. How do you find the whole online bingo experience?
A. It was a bit daunting at first, with all the names for the numbers, you know the legs eleven stuff, when you first start the roomies know more than you do, and it’s you turning to them for advice. But I do love it, it’s great when we get ‘on the job training’ and go down to the local bingo hall for a few games and see just why our customers love us and why we are one of the bingo companies to rival
Q. What is your favourite room to work in and why?
A. I honestly can’t answer that, each room has its own feel and community. I love GTV because we get to Skype and see like we’re TV stars, I love castle for its fast moving pace, Country for its cheeky feel, Sharon’s for the fact most of the roomies there share my love of food (I get good recipes in there too) No two rooms are the same.
Q. Can you remember a LOL moment in a chat room?
A. A had a recent one, a customer told me a riddle ‘What goes on the water and under the water, but never in the water?’. Anyone that knows me, knows I don’t get riddles, try as I might, I could only think of it being sun. It was a fab riddle, got all the roomies guessing (and me) after much brain racking, we gave up. My funny roomie informed us all, the answer was: a ducks egg inside the duck itself. Well I ever laughed so much. From this point on, I ask for jokes in the room!
Q. Why do you think people should join the site that you work with?
A. Gala are a site to beat, we look after our own, everyone here is friendly, from the CMs to the bingo callers themselves. We genuinely care about our customers, their needs, likes and dislikes. We do what we do best by looking after people and that’s what makes us the place people want to be. If I ever stopped being a CM, the first place I would turn to for bingo is Gala. I’ve played on other sites, but no one has that sense of community like Gala!
