How Jackpots are Made
Jackpot amounts depend on ticket prices and the amount of tickets sold per game. Just like regular amounts of money up for grabs per game, jackpots are made by a tiny amount of money being put a side per ticket sold. E.g. if a ticket was bought for 10p then 1p of this may be put aside to accumulate into a jackpot, 2p put aside for a different jackpot and so on. Although 1p does not sound a lot, if a 1000 tickets we sold per game and the jackpot was left to build up over a few days you can quickly see how jackpots can grow to a substantial amount.
Standard Jackpots
Every time you play online bingo you are playing for a jackpot. These sums of money may be only £18.50 for a full house but they are considered to be jackpots none the less. You will be told when the game starts how much everyone is playing for. These small jackpots are guaranteed and will be won by someone at the end of the game.
Guaranteed High Jackpots
Guaranteed Jackpots are jackpots with set amounts. You will be told the exact amount of money that is up for grabs. These are just like standard jackpots but have a much bigger value. Someone will win the jackpot at the end of the game.
Progressive Jackpots
These kinds of jackpots are what you would call “the big money”. These jackpots can go up to crazy amounts and are definitely life changing. A progressive jackpot will start of at a specified amount, which could be anything. It could be £0, it could be £10,000. If players had a chance to win a progressive jackpot and no participating player was successful, the jackpot would continue to grow and carry on the next game. This would keep happening until someone finally won.
How to Win Jackpots
Usually, to win a bingo jackpot you need to bingo under a certain amount of numbers. A typical 90 ball bingo jackpot would be like the following: Cover a full bingo card under 37 called bingo numbers. This would mean that you would need to cover a bingo ticket completely (full house pattern) within 37 called bingo numbers.
A typical bingo game last between 60 and 70 bingo numbers, so as you can see, winning a game under 37 numbers does not happen very often
