The bingo advert that was banned by the advertising standards authority because it is said to have promoted gambling is such a way that was irresponsible and deceptive.
We at Love to Play Bingo found the funny side of the advert where a woman was desperately trying to get her husband out of the house so she could log on and play William Hill Bingo. She did this by winding the kitchen clock forwards (only by 15 minutes) to make him think he was late for work. At the end of the TV advert the woman winds the upstairs clock backwards to suggest that she had changed all the clocks in the house.
Views complained and it came to a conclusion that the advert portrayed a woman who had a gambling problem and tried to hide it from her family. I guess some people have a different senses of humour. Just as a bingo advert came out that was actually fun and poof...gone!
